Cruel - Snakehips feat. Zayn cover art

The music world knows how to start the weekend on a high note.

In just one Friday, our ears have been blessed with new singles from Tinashe, 5 Seconds of Summer, ZAYN, Hailee Steinfeld and more. If you’re a hardcore music fan like I am, you better be here and listening or be square because all of this new music needs to be on your playlists STAT.

Whether you’re sitting by the pool, waiting in-between acts at an awesome music festival or commuting to and from work, these 13 tracks are sure to set a good vibe. Before you leap into July’s full new music playlist, preview five tracks that are surely about to become stuck on replay.

“Hangin’ On” by ROZES

You may recognize ROZES’ voice as she was the featured vocalist on The Chainsmokers’ “Roses,” which was at the top of every radio station’s playlist earlier this year. Now, the 23-year-old American singer is shining solo with her new single. Although this song came out in mid-June, the upbeat and can’t-stop-must-dance vibes have made “Hangin’ On” a summer staple.

“Body Say” by Demi Lovato

Just as Demi Lovato embarked on her joint Future Now tour with Nick Jonas, the songstress released this sultry new song that is both stage- and summer-ready. “Body Say” is especially perfect for those more intimate summer nights…you know what I’m saying.

“Girls Talk Boys” by 5 Seconds of Summer

Who you gonna call? 5 Seconds of Summer. The Australian pop/rock band recorded and released their new track “Girls Talk Boys” for the new Ghostbusters reboot, which is out in theatres today. The guys killed it with this track that gives off classic funk throwback vibes and is, according to band member Ashton Irwin, a good fit with the band’s new sound.

“Cruel” by Snakehips featuring ZAYN

Looks like ZAYN is officially part of Snakehips’ iconic group of friends. The newly-solo R&B artist teamed up with the British electronic duo for a smoldering summer release that begs to be the soundtrack to late night drives and club parties. Also, can we just talk about how ZAYN dropped not one, but TWO, awesome tracks in one day, with the other being “wHo” from the Ghostbusters soundtrack? Breathing is a thing of the past.

“Make Me…” by Britney Spears featuring G-Eazy

It’s been a while since Britney Spears has released new music, and “Make Me…” does not disappoint. The midtempo song is demanding and irresistibly groovy. On top of that, G-Eazy’s verse brings the song to a new level, giving it an urban edge that will definitely catapult it to the top of the charts this summer.
