Top Instagrammable Spots in Las Vegas

Las Vegas Photo Guide - Angela McLean

If you have taken a peek at my Instagram lately, you may have the impression that I packed up and moved to Las Vegas. Not quite, but I did just get back from an incredible trip to the Sin City! Despite the city’s nickname, the only “sinning” I got up to was believing I’d become a millionaire by playing slot machines (nope) and underestimating the potential for sweet Insta shots.

Whether you’re planning to head there for a show (I highly recommend Celine Dion’s residency at Caesars Palace!), hockey game (Go Knights!!) or for some good ol’ gambling, you’re going to want to snap a few photos to share and reminisce. I’ve got you covered – check out some of my favourite spots for photos in Las Vegas below!

McCarran Airport

If you’re coming into the city by air, this is obviously the best place to start! It epitomizes the city with slot machines, shops and restaurants you would never expect to find in an airport. Take advantage of a layover or just arrive extra early for your next flight. Honestly, I could probably move in here!

Sadelle’s at Bellagio

I am always down for a good breakfast spot and this was our go-to in Las Vegas! The beloved NYC restaurant’s newest location has a very vintage, high-class diner feel, complete with an eye-catching (and tastebud triggering) dessert cart. SO CUTE! You truly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu; I loved the classic egg sandwich (justifiable choice based on all the walking I did this trip!). Having just opened at the Bellagio (I’m talking days ago), the buzz is definitely going to grow. Give yourself some buffer time to get in line and grab some photos for your ‘gram!

High Roller at The Linq

An icon on the Las Vegas strip, the High Roller ferris wheel is one of the best spots to get a bird’s eye view of all the main attractions. At 550 feet tall, it is also the world’s largest observation wheel – all the more reason to try it out! It takes 30 minutes to complete your rotation, making it a perfect respite from the hustle and bustle of the street. Heads up if you choose to go during the day: it gets HOT in those glass bubbles, so dress appropriately. Also, don’t forget to take a look up at the screens – they give you a ton of interesting facts about what you’re seeing throughout your ride!

ANY casino!

SHOP THE LOOK:

Dress (from Lilyful, sold out) || Spike Bracelet

It might sound basic, but you can make this photo so fun. There are some really interesting games at the Vegas casinos! Return of the Sphinx and Rich Girl (both at the Bellagio) brought me some great luck…all adding up to my massive $11 jackpot. 😜

Neon Museum

Located about 10 minutes away from the main strip by car, an equally fitting name for the Neon Museum would be Instagrammer’s Paradise. I could’ve spent hours here getting so many perfect photos! Beyond the photos, just walking around and learning about each sign in this ‘neon graveyard’ is a really unique and interesting experience. Make sure to say “howdy” to the tour guides throughout the site – they have all the info you need.

Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign

Did you really even go to Las Vegas if you didn’t get a picture with this sign?! It kicks off the strip and lets you know that, regardless of what you do, you’re about to have a “fabulous” time. Super-secret tip: you actually don’t have to wait in the super-duper-long line for your pic. As long as you don’t obstruct people (of course), you can stand to either side and get some great close-ups!

Have you travelled to Las Vegas, or do you plan to in 2019? Let me know in the comments! I highly recommend visiting it at least once – it’s definitely an experience!

Happy travelling + photo taking xx
